Last week we spoke to Tayhla who had taken her new horse Symmetry out to Dressage for the very first time. She was super happy with her and has backed it up this weekend just gone by taking Sym out to Silver Hills for the ODE to compete in the 60cm.
Here’s what she had to say!
Over the weekend Symmetry and I competed at our first Eventing competition in the Newcomers EVA 60 at Silver Hills ODE.
We started off with a smashing start in the dressage receiving 73.54%, I couldn’t have been any happier with the performance.
Next was Show Jumping that put everyone on their toes on the side line, I was super happy when we finished with a clear round.
On the Sunday was Cross Country, she didn’t handle the atmosphere of the cross country very well and started to get a bit hot and nervous so we called it a day and retired, not the finish I hoped for but hopefully with more training and schooling with the cross country phase we will get there next time. I was decked out with the new amazing If you ain’t first you’re last White Show Shirt ( https://wilsonequestrian.com.au/product/if-you-aint-first-youre-last-sleeved-show-shirt/ ) and White Dressage Breeches ( https://wilsonequestrian.com.au/product/wilson-equestrian-breeches-white-with-suede-seat-copy/ ) with new super comfy Navy Belt ( https://wilsonequestrian.com.au/product/keeping-it-classy-elastic-belt/ ) along with the plush Navy Show Jacket on the Saturday. On the Sunday I wore the navy Show Shirt that kept me cool in a heated situation.
Thanks again to Sue Vuleta for the great images!
